Mike: I had the pleasure of hearing you at the Oakland Center for Spiritual Living two Sundays ago.
One thing that I found very effective with regard to money is to pray daily claiming my abundance and prosperity and always acknowledging the source of my good.
I believe tithing is a big part of abundance too, which takes some courage in scary times like these.
I have been blessed to experience prosperity on a completely different level since I started tithing.
I also think it is important to not have credit card debt.
Karen Mike — Great piece.
My truth is that we are all alive in this human experience to re-awaken to our true loving, Infinite nature.
Money can facilitate this or it can be a distraction.
As we transition away from a consumer-led economy, investing in ourselves and our toolkit in time and money is even more essential to minimize suffering, let alone to live more joyfully.
AS Karen, points out in her post, prayer and meditation is an effective use of our time and energy.
Keep up the great work, Mike… Stu Mike, Thanks for another thought-provoking post.
I know money is a big issue for my own family.
It would be great if we could speak openly about finances like you suggest.
Unfortunately, it seems to be an American tradition to be dishonest about money and worry way too much about appearances.
